Check your website's speed and whether it's up
Utopia checks your website's speed, whether it's up, and whether customers can call or book from it. Works with any website builder, with nothing to install.
Utopia looks at your website the way a customer does. It shows how fast it loads on phones and computers, whether it's up right now, and what to fix so more visitors call or book. It works with any website: Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, GoDaddy, Webflow, GoHighLevel or a custom site. You don't install anything.
Steps
- Go to Marketing → Website. On your phone, tap More, then Website under Marketing.
- If your website isn't added yet, type its address (like yourbusiness.com) and tap Save and check. You can also add it in Settings → Links.
- Wait about 30 seconds while Google tests the speed. Tap Check now any time to check again.
Only people who can change business settings can add the website or tap Check now. Everyone in the business can see the results.
What the page shows
- Right now: whether your site is up. Utopia checks every 15 minutes.
- Up this week: how much of the last 7 days your site was up.
- Phone speed and Computer speed: Google's score out of 100. 90 or more is good, 50 to 89 needs work, under 50 is poor. Most customers visit on phones, so the phone score matters most.
- What we found: each thing that's good or worth fixing, worst first, with a plain fix for each.
- Past checks: earlier scores, so you can see if changes helped.
Utopia also checks your site by itself every week.
When your website goes down
If Utopia can't reach your site two times in a row (about 15 minutes apart), the people who manage your business get a notice that it's down, and another when it's back up.
Didn't work?
It says "We couldn't find this website"
The address may have a typo, or your domain may have expired. Check it in Settings → Links and with whoever sold you the domain.
It says "Your page is drawn by JavaScript"
Some website builders draw the page in the browser, so Utopia can't read its words. The phone and booking checks are skipped, but speed and up/down still work. Google can usually still read these sites.
Speed shows "Not measured yet" or "Google's speed test didn't answer"
Google's test sometimes takes too long. Tap Check now again in a few minutes.
I don't see Check now
Your role can't change business settings. Ask an owner to check the website or change your role. See Roles and permissions.
