Read your analytics

Analytics shows how your business is doing over time. Want to know how much money came in this month? Open Finance instead. Money in shows what you were paid This month, and Profit takes off your expenses. See Track expenses and profit.

Steps

1. Go to Analytics in the sidebar. On a phone, tap More, then Analytics.
2. At the top right, pick a Time period: Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, Last 12 months or This year.
3. Tap a section along the top.
4. Read the cards. The small arrow under each number compares it with the period before.
5. To see the jobs, customers or invoices behind a chart, tap View records.

What each section shows

• Overview: Money in, Jobs completed, New customers and Quote win rate, which is how many of your decided quotes were accepted.
• Jobs: jobs booked and finished, your average job, cancellations and your busiest days.
• Customers: new and repeat customers, and how leads turn into customers. A lead is someone who asked about your work but hasn't booked yet.
• Sales: quotes sent and won, invoices sent, how fast you get paid, and what's Owed to you.
• Team: hours worked, labor cost and jobs per technician.
• Memberships: Monthly memberships and active members. This section shows today, whatever period you pick.
• Services: which services you book most, and what they earn after supplies.

Why Finance shows a different number

Money in is the same everywhere: here, on Home, in your goals and in Finance. It counts every payment you recorded, on invoices and on jobs, deposits too, but not bounced or voided ones. Only the days differ. Analytics counts the period you pick, Home counts the last 7, 30 or 90 days, and Finance counts a calendar month.

Didn't work?

Money says Hidden or Needs revenue access

Your role can't see money. Only owners and admins can by default. See Roles and permissions.

Everything says zero

Nothing happened in that period yet. Pick a longer Time period, like Last 90 days.

A payment I took isn't in Money in

Only payments recorded in Utopia count, on the day they were received. Check the payment's date and your Time period. If you haven't recorded it yet, record it on the invoice. See Take a payment.
