Turn a quote into a job
When a customer accepts a quote, book it as a job in a few taps with the services and prices already filled in.
Once a customer says yes to a quote, you don't need to type it all again. Utopia copies the customer, vehicle, services and prices into a new job.
Steps
- In the sidebar, open Jobs and click Quotes. On your phone, tap More, then Quotes under Jobs.
- Tap the quote that shows Accepted.
- Tap Create job. The new job form opens with the quote's details filled in.
- Check the car under Vehicles. It's optional, so you can add it later. If a service has a price for each size, check the size on that line.
- Under Schedule, pick the Date and Start time. Leave the date empty if you want to schedule it later.
- Choose Technicians and add Notes if you need to.
- Tap Create job.
The quote now shows Open job. Tap it any time to go to the job. If the person was a lead, they now count as a customer.
If the customer said yes by phone
The quote only shows Create job after it is accepted. If the customer told you yes in person, open the quote and tap Record acceptance, then Customer has accepted. Now tap Create job.
Didn't work?
I don't see Create job
The quote isn't accepted yet. Wait for the customer to accept it from their link, or record their yes as shown above.
It shows Open job instead
A job was already made from this quote. Each quote can become one job. Tap Open job to see it.
The prices on the job are different from what I want
Change them on the job before you tap Create job, or edit the job after. A changed price shows "Customer accepted" with the quote's price beside it, and the change is saved in the job's activity. Accepted quotes can't be changed. Only people who may change prices can edit them.
