Switch between light and dark mode
Pick a light or dark look for Utopia, or let it follow your phone or computer, plus card style, sidebar icons and text size.
You can make Utopia light or dark. This is your own choice. Nobody else on your team sees it, and it is saved on the device you use.
Steps
- Go to Settings → Workspace preferences.
- Under Appearance, tap Light, Dark or System. System follows your phone or computer, so it turns dark at night if your device does.
- Tap Save preferences at the bottom.
On a phone, tap More → Settings first.
More ways to change the look
These are on the same page. The pictures show what each one looks like before you save.
- Text highlight color: the color behind text you select.
- Sidebar icons: Default, Dark, Light or Brand. Brand uses your business button color.
- Cards: Bordered or Borderless.
- Density: Comfortable, Standard or Compact. Pick Comfortable for more room, or Compact to see more rows at once.
Tap Save preferences when you are done. Tap Discard to go back to what you had.
Good to know
Your business button color is a different setting. It shows for everyone in your business. See Change your logo and button color.
Didn't work?
I picked Dark but it's still light
Tap Save preferences. Nothing changes until you save.
It looks different on my other computer
These choices are saved on each device. Set them again on the other one.
System mode doesn't switch at night
System follows your device. Turn on automatic dark mode in your phone or computer settings.
